Shredded Hardwood Bark is made primarily from the bark of hardwood trees but can contain trace amounts of wood and other types of bark.

The small pieces also take slightly less time to break down, this allows the nutrients to transfer to the soil quicker.

When applying mulch it is recommended to maintain a 3″ depth to allow for maximum weed control while still allowing water to reach your plants.

If applying mulch around trees, leave a gap of a couple inches around the trunk of the tree to allow water and air to reach the bark and root system.
